Terms of Service

Service terms and product boundaries for MarginPatrol merchants.

Review status: Draft v1 - final effective date pending legal review. Final public legal wording, company entity, address and governing law require legal review before public launch.

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern use of MarginPatrol, a profit monitoring and alerting application for Shopify merchants.

By installing or using MarginPatrol, the merchant agrees to the final reviewed terms.

Service Description

MarginPatrol helps merchants monitor operating profit by using available data such as orders, products, product costs, shipping costs, payment fees, refunds, discounts, ad spend, alerts and reports.

MarginPatrol is designed for daily operating profit monitoring.

Not Accounting, Tax or Audit Software

MarginPatrol does not provide tax advice, accounting advice, legal advice, audited financial statements, guaranteed profitability analysis, automatic advertising budget management or automatic pricing changes.

Merchants are responsible for verifying financial data before making business, accounting or tax decisions.

Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for maintaining accurate product costs, configuring shipping cost rules, reviewing payment fee assumptions, connecting the correct ad accounts, reviewing Data Quality statuses, complying with applicable laws, controlling user access and reviewing alerts before acting.

Data Accuracy

MarginPatrol displays data statuses such as Confirmed, Estimated, Preliminary, Incomplete, Missing and Excluded.

Some data may change after sync, provider updates, refunds, ad spend updates or merchant configuration changes.

Billing

Billing may be processed through Shopify App Pricing or another approved method.

Final billing wording must match Shopify billing setup, plan prices, trial behavior and public listing.
